There’s a place deep in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas making headlines — but not for anything groundbreaking. It’s called Return to the Land, and if you haven’t heard of it yet, brace yourself.
They’re not hiding what they’re building.
In fact, they’re proud of it.
A Community Built on Exclusion
This so-called community was created for people of “European ancestry” with “traditional values.” That’s just the soft-sell. Here’s what they really mean:
-
You must be white
-
You must be straight
-
You must be willing to exclude everybody else
They’ve made it clear:
No Black folks.
No Jewish folks.
No LGBTQ folks.
No diversity. No inclusion. No shame.
They’ve developed 160 acres so far — homes, paved roads, a school, a community center — and they’re expanding with four more sites on deck. It’s not just a place — it’s a plan.
Gaming the System — Again
You’d think this setup would violate every fair housing law we’ve got. But nope. They’re ducking the law through loopholes.
Instead of mortgages, they sell “shares” through a private membership association. That way, they try to slide around federal protections.
Same old hustle, new packaging.
We Ain’t Surprised — But Let’s Be Clear
Here’s the part that throws them off:
We’re not mad at what they’re building.
They want to create a whites-only community? Fine.
Just don’t use my tax dollars to fund a single piece of it.
What is funny — no, what’s enraging — is that when my mother was alive, she had to pay taxes just like everybody else. But she couldn’t use the same water fountains.
Couldn’t go to the same public pools.
Wasn’t welcome in the library her own dollars helped fund.
Imagine that.
Paying taxes for public spaces you’re not even allowed to enter.
Paying taxes in a city, in a state, in a country that tells you — you don’t belong.
So yeah, I’m mad.
Yeah, I’m upset.
Not because you’re building your little compound in the woods… but because history is repeating itself in broad daylight.
You’re trying to take us back to slavery.
I’m just trying to remind folks of the 1950s and ’60s.
It’s ridiculous.
And again, just so we’re clear:
We don’t care.
Not about your land.
Not about your school.
Not about your ideology.
We just don’t want to pay for your hate.
That’s the line.
White Is Not a Culture
Let’s break something else down:
White is not an ethnicity.
Be proud if you’re Scottish.
Celebrate being Dutch.
Honor your Icelandic, English, Polish roots.
But just “white”?
That’s not culture. That’s camouflage.
And we all know what you’re hiding underneath it.
Receipts: What You Did to Us
For the record, no Black American is burning down your town.
No Black American is flooding your land.
We don’t roll like that.
But you want to talk about danger?
Towns Burned Down by White Mobs:
-
Tulsa Race Massacre – 1921. Black Wall Street burned to ash.
-
Rosewood Massacre – 1923. Entire Black town erased in Florida.
-
Ocoee Massacre – 1920. Dozens of Black voters slaughtered.
-
Slocum Massacre – 1910. Hundreds of Black families destroyed in Texas.
Black Communities Submerged Underwater:
-
Kowaliga, AL – Drowned beneath Lake Martin
-
Susannah, AL – Submerged and forgotten
-
Santee-Cooper Project, SC – Two lakes built, and Black communities vanished
That’s not ancient history.
That’s within living memory.
You want to build a safe haven for yourselves?
Cool.
Just remember the only reason we need safe spaces is because of the harm you inflicted.
Final Word
Return to the Land isn’t about heritage.
It’s not about preservation.
It’s about protection — from a truth you don’t want to face.
You can build fences.
Raise your kids in echo chambers.
Rebrand segregation as “culture.”
But don’t expect the rest of us to stay silent.
We’re not asking for permission anymore.
We’re not asking to be let in.
We’re building, too.
We’re rising, too.
And the difference is — we’re not afraid of the world. You are.
Share this post. Call it what it is. And let them know: we’re not coming for your land — we’re just done paying for your ignorance.
